Is vegan dog food safe for cats too?

Cats have different specific nutritional needs than dogs, so a dog food isn’t appropriate, but a vegan or plant-based diet can be safe for cats when precisely formulated. Complete cat recipes must include supplemental taurine, arachidonic acid, and pre-formed vitamin A to meet feline requirements. Virtuous Vittles cat food (coming 2027) is crafted to meet or exceed AAFCO nutrient profiles for cats, ensuring all essential nutrients are bioavailable and balanced for optimal health.
