Commission & payment. You earn 20% commission on Net Sales (revenue after refunds, discounts, taxes and shipping) from orders placed with your affiliate link or code. Orders you place yourself don’t earn commission. Each referral is reviewed before it’s approved. Commissions are paid via PayPal or bank transfer. You’re responsible for your own taxes and expenses.
Follower discount. Your personal code gives your followers 10% off their first order (excludes subscriptions). Only share codes we provide to you.
Engagement. In exchange for products, experiences and/or commissions, you agree to create and post content as outlined in your brief or agreement, and to use your link or code where relevant.
Respect intellectual property. Only post content you created or have permission to use. Get written consent (for example, a model release) from anyone featured in your posts, even people you know. Avoid third-party trademarks, logos, music or celebrity likenesses unless you have explicit rights. When in doubt, don’t post, or check with us first.
Usage rights. Virtuous Vittles may repost, share, edit and reuse any content you create that features our brand or products, across all media, including social media, paid ads, websites, email and print. You keep ownership of your original content; this simply grants us a broad license to use it for marketing.
FTC compliance & brand integrity. Always disclose your partnership or affiliate link clearly (for example, “I earn a commission from this link”). Share only true and accurate information about our products. We both agree to be honest, professional and respectful, and to avoid anything that could harm the other’s reputation.
Confidential information. Keep private any nonpublic information we share, such as internal discussions, strategies or payments, unless required by law or approved in writing. Your Pawtner status itself isn’t confidential; you must disclose it under FTC rules.
Non-exclusivity. You may work with other brands, as long as those partnerships don’t conflict with this one or involve competing pet food products during active campaigns.
Termination. Either party may end this agreement with 30 days’ written notice, or immediately in cases of breach, or legal or reputational issues. We’ll pay any commissions earned through your termination date, and you’ll remove affiliate links or content upon request.
Independent relationship. You’re an independent contractor, not an employee. You control your own work, schedule, tools and taxes, and may not act on behalf of Virtuous Vittles.
Legal terms. These terms are governed by California law. Any disputes go first to mediation, then arbitration in California (remote participation permitted). Each party covers its own costs unless the arbitrator decides otherwise.
